We offer a wide variety of second and foreign language acquisition programs for children. Our programs have been designed to promote the development of language skills and help children gain confidence, always with the goal of meaningful communication in mind.
Our proprietary curriculum has been designed on a music and play platform and has been developed by experts in bilingual education and foreign language acquisition. Our innovative curriculum is aligned with national standards national (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, ACTFL) and it involves the use of interactive and hands-on activities that help children tap into their own unique learning style, maximizing language acquisition and retention while having fun!
We incorporate culturally relevant activities in each one of our lessons, based on ACTFL’s 5 Cs (five goal areas of the World-Readiness Standards for Learning Languages): Communication, Cultures, Connections, Comparisons and Communities. For this reason, the use of authentic materials is very important in our lessons.
Through Language Kids Press, we develop our own pronunciation guides and story books, reading materials and other materials such as worksheets and flashcards, both digital and on print. We use Cambridge University Press ¡Hola Mundo! ¡Hola Amigos! series as our Spanish textbook for elementary school students, and the Better Chinese textbooks as our Mandarin Chinese textbook for elementary school students.
Language Kids World provides children with the opportunity to learn a foreign language and culture through music and play! Our curriculum is carefully sequenced to gradually incorporate new words and expressions through hands-on and interactive lessons, with an emphasis on the development of conversational skills, vocabulary and sentence structures, with the goal of meaningful communication always in mind. Our theme-based modular units allow children to enroll at any time.
The curriculum developed by Language Kids World for introducing students to another language and culture incorporates innovative methodologies focusing on the development of auditory comprehension and language production with the goal of interaction in the target language and meaningful communication. Our program for students in elementary school has been designed on a play-based platform using games, songs and interactive hands-on activities for teaching children the target language.
